Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Azure Lead with 10+ years in software development and at least 5 years working on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate should be passionate about building secure, scalable, and cloud-native solutions using modern tools and best practices.
You will lead the design and implementation of solutions using Azure services, microservices, serverless functions, containers, and automation. You’ll work closely with development, DevOps, and security teams to deliver high-quality and reliable cloud applications and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement scalable cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure using microservices, serverless, and container-based design patterns.
- Design and deploy secure, high-performance infrastructure on Azure covering compute, networking, storage, identity, and security layers.
- Develop cloud-native applications and backend services using .NET (C#) and Python, ensuring high reliability, maintainability, and scalability.
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar tools to ensure efficient and automated delivery.
- Lead the adoption and enforcement of Azure security best practices including RBAC, identity management, secure coding, and compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO, and GDPR.
- Manage and optimize Azure networking components including VNets, Application Gateway, NSGs, and Private Endpoints.
- Drive or contribute to projects involving Generative AI and LLMs integration into enterprise solutions.
- Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
- Apply hands-on knowledge of Azure PaaS services such as App Services, Functions, Azure SQL, Blob Storage, Key Vault, and Logic Apps.
- Work collaboratively across development, operations, and security teams to ensure reliable cloud operations and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software development experience with 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing solutions on Microsoft Azure.
- Strong expertise in microservices architecture, containerization (Docker), and orchestration platforms like AKS.
- Deep knowledge of Azure compute services: App Services, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Functions.
- Proficient in Azure networking: VNets, Application Gateway, DNS, and Load Balancing.
- Experience with Azure storage services: Blob, Files, Queues.
- Hands-on with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and release management.
- Proven experience with IaC: Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
- Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Azure CLI, and Python.
- In-depth understanding of Azure Identity and Access Management (IAM) including Azure AD, Managed Identities, and RBAC.
- Familiarity with Generative AI, LLMs, and associated Azure services like Azure OpenAI Service is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of security and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
